about me!

hi, i’m tia! i’m a senior at miami university studying journalism and entrepreneurship.

my passion for photography started when i was in 6th grade and got my first camera for christmas.

it continued throughout middle school, but accelerated when i became a photographer for the high school yearbook in 9th grade.

i fell in love with taking photos of football games and student sections. cheering crowds and touchdowns.

flash forward to senior year, i became the head editor of the yearbook and oversaw the entire photography department.

my idea for tiabensonphotos was born when friends began asking me to take photos of them in their college shirts and their caps and gowns.

i soon realized i could easily pursue my passion for photography by creating an instagram and marketing myself in both minneapolis and oxford.

so, here we are…

my goal is to create a vision that we are both obsessed with — from the experience to the edits,
